Ensuring Solution and Operations Excellence

Ensure operational readiness and performance using CloudOps; manage incidents and problems; manage and optimize cloud resources; automate and manage change; and continuously improve and innovate.

SLOs defined, monitoring and alerting in place, runbooks written, on-call staffed, capacity tested, and DR procedures validated, often confirmed in a production readiness review.

Incident management restores service quickly. Problem management finds and removes underlying root causes to prevent recurrence.

The practices and tools for operating cloud workloads effectively: observability, automation, incident response, capacity and cost management.

It reduces toil and human error, makes changes repeatable and auditable (IaC, CI/CD), and speeds recovery.

Forecasting demand, load testing, setting autoscaling and quotas, and reserving scarce resources ensure performance under growth and peaks.
