Order of operations (PEMDAS)
Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication/Division (left to right), Addition/Subtraction (left to right).
Distributive property
a(b + c) = ab + ac. Multiplication distributes over addition.
Integer
A whole number, positive, negative, or zero (…, −2, −1, 0, 1, 2, …). No fractions or decimals.
Prime number
A whole number greater than 1 with exactly two factors: 1 and itself. 2 is the only even prime.
Even/odd rules for addition
even+even=even, odd+odd=even, even+odd=odd.
